Life is going pretty well

It's been a pretty decent week so far! Things are moving along and I'm in a pretty decent mood.

Did have to scrape frost off the windshield this morning - winter is definitely on it's way. No more camping events this year!

Worked on Cassandra's dress last night - thank goodness we decided to make a dummy dress first. The lines on it came out beautiful - it was just too big! So we are going to cut it down tonight to make it fit the way we want and then cut the dress out of the good fabric. I think it is going to look fabulous when we finish it!!

This weekend it is off to the demo and then to the Ren Fest on Saturday. My nephew is getting spoiled rotten this weekend. Marine Corps Ball on Friday night (he even has a date!!!!), demo/Ren Fest on Saturday, then the Renaissance Festival in Concord on Sunday. I took him to the one in Asheville earlier this year and he had a terrific time. Insisted that we go to the one in Concord this year and begged to be in garb when we went. So I'll be slapping together a T-tunic for the boy tomorrow.
