The SCA to me

1. What is your SCA Name? Bessenyei Rozsa

2. What are your titles? Lady (Asszony in Hungarian)

3. When did you join the SCA? Novice Tourney 2002

4. What SCA branches have you belonged to?
Canton of Charlesbury Crossing in the Barony of the Sacred Stone in the Kingdome of Atlantia

5. What questions about SCA history would you like to have answered? ????

6. What is your favorite SCA folktale (true or apocryphal)? ?????

7. Who in the Society has influenced you the most and why?
Susanna easily! She has been an absolute rock since the day I met her. One of the most incredible friends you can have - she has guided me, sheltered me, garbed me, supported me, and been the most wonderful shoulder to cry on. One of these days I will find a way to pay her back for everything she has done for me. (Suggestions would be fantastic!)

8. Who was/is your favorite king? Logan

9. How do you think you most influenced the SCA?
By performing the duties of the office that I was allowed to take on.

10. What is your most vivid SCA memory?
Sir Dagonet and I boffer fighting on the porch at Autumnfest 2003. (yep.... I lost....with him one-handed :) That was just after he took the time to make me feel better and went way out of his way to cheer me up and do all he could to fix a situation that had left me pretty upset.

Auditory?
Mistress Azza and Alain playing on the hammered dulcimer and drum at any time

Visual?
Dagonet and Cuan's fight during the best of the best at Pennsic

Emotional?
Duke Logan showing up at Baronial Birthday when I was autocratting.

11. What about the SCA has changed the most since you joined?
not much :)

12. What do you miss the most about the SCA since you joined?
time to sit and just watch the event and really experience it

13. What is your worst SCA memory?
hmm... too fresh to say

14. What is your favorite SCA song?
Belt & Chain (?)

15. If you could talk to anyone from SCA history, who would it be?
I know so few, and of those that I know it would be Duchess Arielle who is someone I already get to talk to on a regular basis. I have been so pleased to discover that she is truly as wonderful as I have heard since the day I joined the SCA.

16. What were the authenticity standards when you joined?
just a little worse then they are now...... just haven't been in that long..... my standards however have gone up.... I prefer the look of things that pass the 10 foot rule - doesn't necessarily have to be "period" but it does need to blend.

17. What did you wear to your first event?
typical wench garb - tapestry bodice, peasant blouse and long skirt

18. What do you think is the best development in the SCA since you joined?
SCA wise - not much - me wise - I think I have finally found a household that is suited to my perception of the SCA and what I want to achieve.

19. What do you think is the worst development in the SCA since you joined?

20. What is your favorite SCA activity? Besides coming home? watching the heavy fighting
